Damages to the Hotel Farview on Bantayan Island

Here you will find several Pictures of the Farview Hotel what got strong damaged to a level that both top level are need to be completely rebuilt.
The strongly damaged top levels of the hotel
Nothing was spared by the strong wind
Besides of the Walls everything was destroyed. After the first Windoow had burst into the room and the wind had its entrance, nearly all other windows were doomed and got bursted into all directions.
The damaged roof over their nice Balkony
Other view of the now damaged roof
Also here you can see that several windows bursted due to the strong winds and the roof was ripped to pieces. From the inside zou have now a good view into the clouds and all but some tables and chairs were flipped, smashed to the walls or completely sucked away and could be found all around the hotel.
Before the Typhoon really started the roof startet moving, but nothing
could be done to fix it, the wind was already much too strong and gusty
At that time we started already to hide inside of the room, but two persons were still cooking outside. Due to the strong winds it took so long. The owner of Farview visited us to warn us about the danger that comes out of the roof. Everybody who had nothing to do anymore outside was sent into the building. Some minutes later the roof came down and crashed into the edge of our roof. Out of pure luck nobody got hurt.
The day after the Typhoon could see how close it really hit us
Not only game the owner of Farview us a warning, but also he left the safety of his home to rush to us, so that he could check if someone got hurt and everything was fine. At that time the Typhoon was nearly full on.
Farview how it looks now from the Ocean
Some more Pictures of the devastation

Once a beautiful garden, now most of the plants are flatted or ripped away

Even the tick wall had nothing to countervail the typhoons strength

Even the electricity masts were just knocked over
A metal roof strong fixed to a stonewall, just ripped away like nearly all
other roofs of the houses in the area
Once a shelter for motorbikes and bicycle, now sadly just a ruin

Also here a stonewall could not counter the strong winds

A breakfast area that needs to be completely rebuilt

One of the Houses of Farview what is now completely damaged.
Windows shattered, roof ripped away and everything flooded by the rains

More of the one beautiful outside area that needs to be cleaned and replanted
Lots needs to be repaired or even completely new rebuilt. Yolanda was indeed the strongest typhoon ever hit land and the devastation it left behind is omnipresent.
